In the shadow of the old steam railway line are some of our large collection of ducks, geese and swans – and Blackbrook Zoo has the largest collection of these in the UK!

We have the endangered swangoose, the macabre plumaged – but very beautiful – Australian black swans and South American black-necked swans, as well as a petite pair of the UK’s only Jankowski’s swans.

These bird beauties live on beautifully landscaped watercourses, with a whole host of other rare and wonderful ducks and geese for you to amble around and enjoy.

Did you know?

  • The most commonly seen wild swan in Britain is called the mute swan – and most of these belong to the Queen!
  • Black-necked swan babies have a curious habit – piggy-backing along on their parents backs!
  • The odd-looking Coscoroba swan looks more like a giant duck, with its funny bright orange-red bill.
