Our stunning penguin exhibit opened in 2008, and is home to our collection of Humboldt penguins. This amazing exhibit boasts an underwater viewing cave where visitors can enjoy watching the penguins dive into the water at great speed to eat their lunch. Lunchtime is always spectacular to watch, as the penguins race each other through the water for their fish.

The exhibit also has a raised walkway so visitors can enjoy watching these magnificent birds from every angle.

Blackbrook Zoo is home to Kentucky, the world famous penguin that couldn’t swim due to a problem with his feathers. Kentucky is now better and loves visitors to come and watch him swim. He’s a very cheeky chappy as, unlike the other penguins, he likes to be hand-fed by the keepers
