We're always on the look out for hardworking individuals to join our team of volunteers, and although you may not be able to work directly with the animals, all of the activities you'll be involved with contribute directly to the Zoo and the welfare of our animals.

Typical volunteer activities include animal food preparation, visitor services, events, education and conservation services, park maintenance, food services, membership and adoption promotion and shop sales.

Volunteers and Work Experience must be aged 16 or over

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Blackbrook. As busy season kicks into gear, we are looking for ‘Welcome Wardens’ to work in our busy shop and reception area at weekends and over the summer holidays.

Your duties will involve greeting customers as they enter the park and provide them with information about the animals, directions and other general enquires they may have. You will also offer information on adoptions, keeper days and memberships schemes.

This is a fantastic opportunity and is open to everyone over 16.
